Bool Gymnasium

Bool Gymnasium

In 1992, Roger Spade, Class of 1966, led one of the greatest projects St. Mary’s has ever embarked on bringing together alumni, families, friends, faculty, staff and students to build the gymnasium. Mr. Spade researched and utilized relationships all over the Valley for material donations. It started with the metal siding for the walls and continued with pieces from Girard, Central and the old Phoenix Union high schools were gathered and put to great use. People volunteered their time and resources and built what is today the greatest home court advantage in high school athletics. Bool Gymnasium was later named after Herbert and Betty Bool through their contributions and tireless work with the St. Mary's family.
